Small Engine Mechanic Fischer Landscaping Brownsville, TX Job Details Part-time From $18 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Heavy lifting Electrical systems Power tools Small engine maintenance Hand tools Service technician experience Full Job Description Overview Join our team as a Small Engine Mechanic and become a vital part of keeping outdoor power equipment, lawn mowers, blowers, and various machinery running smoothly and efficiently. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines and related equipment. Duties Diagnose issues on small engines, including gasoline and diesel-powered units, using schematics and technical manuals Perform repairs on a wide range of equipment such as lawn mowers, weed wackers, blowers, and other outdoor power tools Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs efficiently Repair heavy machinery components such as Zero-Turn lawnmowers or similar heavy-duty engines when required Experience Proven service technician background working with small engines or outdoor power equipment Strong mechanical knowledge of gasoline and diesel engine repair processes Familiarity with automotive repair techniques applicable to small engine systems Hands-on experience with equipment repair including heavy machinery components Knowledge of electrical systems, soldering techniques, welding skills, and the use of hand tools and power tools Previous experience working with large lawnmower or similar heavy-duty engines is a plus Ability to lift heavy equipment safely while maintaining proper technique during repairs This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to apply their technical skills in a fast-paced environment.
