Small Engine Technician/ Generator Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Small Engine Technician/Generator Technician to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining emergency standby generators to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise will help customers keep their equipment running smoothly, whether it's for residential use, commercial applications, or industrial settings. Responsibilities Repair emergency standby generators and related machinery using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, spark plug replacements, and electrical system checks. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs efficiently. Interpret technical schematics and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems. Conduct testing on repaired equipment to ensure proper operation before returning it to operation. Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair status clearly with customers and team members. Experience Prior dealership experience or service technician background is a plus. Entry level also welcome. Training will be provided with the opportunity to attend tech school to become a manufacturer certified generator technician. Proven experience repairing small engines, generators, diesel engines, or heavy equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience related to engine systems. Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting electrical components. Hands-on experience with automotive repair techniques is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate various hand tools, power tools and equipment effectively. Pay:

$18.00 - $26.00 per hour
