Position Summary The Marine Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining primarily boats and marine systems , along with supporting powersports units such as ATVs and side-by-sides. This role requires strong troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and the discipline to complete repairs efficiently and accurately. Key Responsibilities Perform complete and accurate inspections and estimates on initial evaluation Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues Repair and service units according to flat-rate standards Follow manufacturer procedures and service bulletins Document findings and recommendations clearly on repair orders Identify and advise service advisors of additional needed repairs Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Move units in and out of the shop as needed Properly clock labor operations in Lightspeed Maintain current certifications and training requirements Work collaboratively with advisors and other technicians to ensure quality repairs Qualifications Mechanical experience required (marine or powersports preferred) Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical systems Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to work efficiently in a flat-rate environment Valid driver's license (motorcycle endorsement helpful but not required) Ability to safely operate boats, ATVs, and side-by-sides Professional attitude and team mindset Schedule Full-Time — Tuesday through Saturday What Success Looks Like Here A successful technician in this role: Produces consistent hours Diagnoses accurately the first time Communicates clearly with advisors Takes ownership of their work Contributes positively to shop morale If you want steady work, real earning potential, and a dealership that respects the technical profession, we would like to talk with you.
