Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and troubleshooting on Harley-Davidson motorcycles using advanced automotive diagnostic tools and mechanical knowledge. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire replacements, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance. Execute complex repairs including engine overhauls, electrical system troubleshooting, welding, soldering, and assembly of motorcycle components. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices to disassemble, repair, replace parts, and reassemble motorcycles efficiently. Assist customers by providing expert advice on motorcycle features, maintenance needs, and aftermarket accessories to enhance their riding experience. Maintain accurate service records, complete detailed repair orders, and ensure all work complies with safety standards and dealership policies. Support dealership sales efforts by demonstrating mechanical features of new models and explaining maintenance plans to prospective buyers. Skills Proven dealership experience with a strong background in motorcycle or automotive repair. Extensive service technician experience specializing in Harley-Davidson or similar motorcycles. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics using specialized software and testing equipment. Mechanical knowledge of engine systems, brakes, suspension components, electrical wiring, welding techniques, soldering skills, and vehicle assembly processes. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and welding apparatus required for motorcycle repair. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs. Experience in sales support by demonstrating mechanical features or recommending accessories based on customer needs.
