Job Description

DrillCore brings over 15 years of experience in core drilling and saw cutting. We're looking for an experienced Small Engine Mechanic to maintain and repair our equipment fleet. This role works closely with the field team, manages shop inventory, and helps minimize downtime through efficient, organized repairs. A clean driving record is required.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing, and other duties will be assigned based on the position's role within the business unit. Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines (chainsaws, generators, circular saws, wall saws) Perform routine service and preventative maintenance Communicate repair status and priorities with field crews Coordinate equipment turnaround to support daily operations Manage shop inventory, parts tracking, and ordering Keep shop clean, organized, and safe Document repairs, labor, and parts used Transport equipment as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
Small engine repair experience (2-cycle & 4-cycle) Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Valid Drivers License for at least 3 years with a clean driving record Strong communication and organization skills Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Ability to interact professionally and constructively with employees at all levels, supervisors, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Inventory or shop management experience Welding or fabrication experience Physical Requirements include but are not limited to the following: Able to walk, sit, stand, bend, kneel, stretch, squat and climb. Able to travel to jobsites, meetings, and other destinations. Able to wear required personal protective equipment. Able to work with specialized construction equipment, tools, and materials. Able to see, talk and hear in person, via phone and/or through online/video. Able to use hands and fingers in a manner that allows for use of a keyboard and phone. Able to lift & carry items up to 50 lbs. On occasion 65lbs+.
