Headquartered in St. Augustine, Florida, with 27 sites around the U.S. in Washington State, California, Michigan, Ohio, New York, South Carolina, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, and Puerto Rico. A GMS Marine Technician will troubleshoot, repair, and service vessel engines and trailers under the supervision of a Certified Marine Technician. From the very first day on the job, GMS Marine Technicians will be working toward their Marine Tech Certifications.
Purpose of the position:
Troubleshoot and repair/service vessel engines, vessels, and vessel trailers under the supervision of a Certified Marine Technician as directed and assigned under the contract.
Position Responsibilities:
Typical duties include but are not limited to the following. Specific duties vary by assignment. Purchase and maintain a tool set reasonable to perform the job function. Troubleshoot and repair vessels, vessel engines and vessel trailers. Perform all duties under the direction of a Certified Marine Technician. Practice good housekeeping, tool control Maintain awareness of the safety program at all times.
Position Requirements:
Be able to operate a forklift (if required) and other motor vehicle. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, High Risk Security Clearance. Extremely Generous Benefits Plan.
