In Person We are seeking to hire two experienced technician positions, one at Tom-n-Jerry's Boat Center and another at Master Marine Boat Center. We are well-established, full-service boat dealerships located in Skagit County specializing in high-quality aluminum boats, expert service, and unmatched customer care. Our team is known for delivering top-tier rigging, electronics installation, and boat setup for recreational fishing and boating vessels.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Outboard Technician to join our marine service team. This role involves diagnosing, servicing, and repairing outboard motors and marine systems while ensuring boats are operating safely and reliably. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with significant experience working on modern outboard engines and marine electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and service outboard engines including Yamaha, Honda, Mercury, and Suzuki models. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, impeller replacement, and fuel system service Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues Use manufacturer diagnostic software and service tools Test engines and verify proper operation after repairs Maintain a clean and organized work area and coordinate with the service team
Qualifications:
7+ years experience working on outboard motors or marine engines Strong mechanical and diagnostic ability Experience troubleshooting electrical, fuel, cooling, and ignition systems Ability to read wiring diagrams and service manuals Experience with Yamaha or Honda outboards preferred Strong attention to detail and work quality Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a shop environment Valid driver's license required
