Job Description

Action Power Sports is a leading dealer in marine and powersports equipment, committed to delivering exceptional service and expertise to our customers. We specialize in boats, personal watercraft, and outdoor power equipment, and we pride ourselves on maintaining a high-performance service department. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Marine Technician to join our service team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of marine engines and systems. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for working on the water. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair marine engines (inboard, outboard, and sterndrive systems) Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tune-ups, and winterization Troubleshoot electrical, fuel, and cooling systems Install and repair marine accessories and components Conduct pre-delivery inspections on new units Accurately document work performed and parts used Maintain a clean and organized workspace Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers as needed Qualifications Previous experience as a marine technician or in a related mechanical field Knowledge of marine engines and systems (Mercury, Yamaha, etc. preferred) Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to use diagnostic tools and service equipment Basic computer skills for service documentation Valid driver's license Marine certification (preferred but not required) Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage (based on experience) Performance-based incentives Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Ongoing training and certification opportunities Employee discounts on products and services Why Join Action Power Sports?
