Schedule:
Five days per week, variable schedule (Minimum 40-hour work week; additional hours may be required based on customer appointments) About the Role Tire Rack is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Mobile Tire Technician to deliver exceptional tire installation and repair services directly to customers using our custom-equipped mobile installation vans. This role combines technical expertise with outstanding customer service, allowing you to represent Tire Rack while providing convenient, professional service at customer locations. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, takes pride in delivering quality workmanship, and enjoys working independently while creating positive customer experiences. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to safely operate a mobile service vehicle throughout the assigned service area. What You'll Do Mobile Tire Service Perform tire mounting, balancing, installation, repairs, and other basic tire services at customer locations. Safely load, operate, and drive a custom-equipped mobile installation van to scheduled service appointments. Complete services efficiently while maintaining Tire Rack's quality and safety standards. Customer Experience Deliver exceptional customer service during every appointment by explaining services performed and answering customer questions. Represent Tire Rack professionally while building trust and ensuring customer satisfaction. Maintain clear and courteous communication throughout the service experience. Safety & Vehicle Operations Conduct pre-service safety checks and follow established installation procedures during every service. Operate the mobile installation van safely and responsibly while complying with all driving regulations and company policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked mobile work environment. Team Support & Operations Work independently while effectively managing daily appointments and schedules. Perform physical work including standing, bending, lifting up to 80 pounds, and extended periods of manual labor. Perform other duties as assigned to support daily operations and business needs. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. No more than two moving violations or one at-fault accident within the past five years. No DUI/DWI or drug/alcohol-related convictions within the past five years. Ability to attend a one-week training program in South Bend, Indiana. TIA Certification, or willingness to obtain certification. Authorization to work in the United States. Ability to work a minimum 40-hour work week with a variable schedule based on customer appointments. Ability to safely perform physical job duties, including lifting up to 80 pounds. Preferred Qualifications Previous tire service or automotive service experience. Experience working independently in a customer-facing role. Strong communication and customer service skills. Willingness to learn and develop technical skills through training. Education High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. Why Tire Rack?
