We are proud to be a part of the Best One national network of tire dealers. Currently we are looking for a Tire Retread Plant Technician for our Palm Beach location.

General Description:

Ability to produce a high-quality retread by performing specific retreading tasks, as assigned, per Bandag specifications and time standards. This position adheres to and promotes the Callaghan's Best One vision, mission, and core values while contributing to the success of their location and team.

Essential Job Functions:

Commit to high quality workmanship: keeping supervisor informed of any production problems as they occur. Perform general maintenance of specifically assigned equipment and area. Keep everything in a safe, clean and workable manner. Use materials and supplies efficiently, avoiding waste. This includes using tread rubber to maximum capacity. Train co-workers in specific areas as assigned by supervisor. Improve and develop skills at these stations: buffer, initial inspection, certified repair, builder, extruder, curing, final inspection shipping, and basic tire analysis. Perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner according to all Bandag and OSHA guidelines. Be safety conscious and identify and correct conditions that affect employee and product safety. Strive to always be on pace with the rest of the production staff. Work as a team in all ways. This may include working under pressure. Carry out any given task paying careful attention to details to get the task done well. Be on time for the scheduled shift realizing that manufacturing relies on every person. Be flexible on scheduled hours, realizing that business hours are dictated by customer needs and can run past scheduled ending times or start before scheduled beginning times. Participate in all meetings and huddles. Work to contribute to an effective team. Pass the Bridgestone Certified Retread Technician Apprenticeship Program Other related tasks as assigned Physical Demands /

Work Environment:

Standing for extended periods of time. Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting.

Lifting:

frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high

Environment:

Environment that is not climate controlled. Extremely hot temperatures are to be expected. Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception) Sense of sound (Alarms, horns and motorized equipment)

PPE:

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves, safety harnesses, steel reinforced footwear) Join our team!
