Job Description

Commercial Motor Vehicle Tire experience required
THIS LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IS NOT INTENDED TO BE ALL - INCLUSIVE AND MAY BE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE OTHER DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES THAT MANAGEMENT MAY DEEM NECESSARY FROM TIME TO TIME. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The employee in this position will be responsible for overall tire maintenance for semi-tractor/trailer equipment . This person must be familiar with, adhere to, and enforce company policies and procedures. The employee must be able and willing to step up to additional responsibilities when needed.
OPERATIONAL DUTIES
Removes and install tires, which includes all aspects of repairing, replacing damaged/worn tires on tractors or trailers. Maintains and stores tire inventories. Disposes of damaged/old tire casings. Maintains and operates all tire equipment. Receives and carries out instructions. Maintains regular and predictable attendance Performing roadside and/or off-road service calls on a continuous basis Dismounting and mounting any type of tire on drop center, semi-drop center and multi-piece rims Inflating of tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements Determining repairable tire conditions and making such repairs Removing tires for retreading or repair as needed
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Properly executing required billing documents Complying with DOT regulations Following all safety and driving rules Be familiar with, adhere to, and enforce company policies and procedures Adhere to legal guidelines, including such things as OSHA requirements Step up to additional responsibilities when needed Truck Tire Service or other relevant experience is require
SPECIFIC SKILLS
Good communication skills Valid Driver's License High School diploma or GED The ability to work alone after training Ability to perform all job functions that require lifting and or carrying single items weighing up to 50 lbs Activities such as pulling, pushing, bending, standing, lifting, reaching, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
