As a Tire & Bedliner Technician, you will be an essential part of delivering on that promise — preparing vehicle beds and units of all sizes for spray-on Vortex liner application and servicing tires with precision and professionalism. You'll help maintain the trust our customers place in us by executing your work to the standard of excellence MCIS is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough surface prep for bedliner applications: clean, degrease, scuff, and mask to MCIS standards. Assist in applying Vortex Sprayliner or set up prep for another technician, ensuring optimal adhesion and finish. Remove masking, clean up after spray jobs, and perform post-spray inspections to guarantee quality and durability. Conduct detailed quality control checks, identifying any imperfections or weak spots in the coating. Remove and install tires on truck, semi, or light-duty wheels using safe, efficient methods. Mount and balance tires.Service TPMS:
install, troubleshoot, and program sensors with attention to accuracy. Inspect wheels, rims, valve stems, and tires for wear, damage, or manufacturing defects. Tighten lug nuts using proper torque specs and safety checks. Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized workspace to support efficient, same-day in/out service. Operate and care for shop tools, tire machines, spray prep equipment, and safety gear. Document work and communicate with team members and supervisors about issues, quality concerns, or customer specifications. Assist with any needed tasks in and around the shop. Previous experience in automotive, tire shop, or coating environment preferred. Strong attention to detail, especially in masking, prep, and quality assurance. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand/position for long periods. Good hand-eye coordination; comfortable using both manual and power tools. Basic mechanical aptitude; willingness to learn TPMS systems, torque specs, and coating techniques. Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor; committed to representing MCIS well.
