Tire Technician

Schedule:

2:30pm -12 midnight, Monday -Friday, rotating

Saturdays Purpose:

As a Tire Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our vehicles and equipment. In this position, you will be responsible for promptly and efficiently diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our company vehicles, by repairing, installing, and maintaining tires on company trucks, and equipment. A successful Tire Technician must possess a combination of technical know-how, excellent communication skills, and a passion for customer service. Collaboration with the Shop Manager and adherence to safety protocols are essential for success in this role.

Primary Job Functions:

Install new tires and wheels on company trucks and trailers Perform tire maintenance, including rotations, balancing, repairs, and replacements Conduct basic tire inspections and pressure checks to ensure safety and compliance Diagnose tire-related issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions Maintain accurate documentation, via manual or electronic systems, of all work performed Assist with general shop duties as needed to support the maintenance team Coordinate with the Shop Manager to ensure any tire maintenance issues are understood and prioritized to ensure shop efficiency Maintain a clean and safe work area, complying with corporate and OSHA standards. • This is not an all-inclusive of job requirements and/or duties and may not contain all mental and physical capabilities necessary to perform the job at all times due to circumstances. Qualifications:

Experience and/or Education 1+ years of experience tire in maintenance or related mechanic experience preferred Experience with commercial tires is a plus Skills Ability to provide a high level of customer service to drivers and customers. Must have a team-orientated attitude & openness to help wherever needed. Ability to operate tire-related tools and equipment safely Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Must have strong ability to operate efficiently, in a fast-paced high-volume environment. Must have strong ability to think critically and solve problems. Physical activities include walking, lifting, twisting, turning, climbing a ladder, must be able to lift 50 lbs, etc Must be willing to work in inclement weather May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, paint-dust, and other environmental conditions. Technical Knowledge General knowledge of safe job practices & regulations related to OSHA, MSHA and DOT requirements. Proficiency operating modern maintenance technology systems.
