Job Description

Qualifications / Skills 1+ years of related work experience Mechanical knowledge Understanding of trucks and tire service Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals Ability to write routine correspondence Ability to use computerized equipment to inspect and align wheels, axles, and frames. Adjusting vehicle suspension and steering systems to manufacturer specifications, ensuring proper handling and tire longevity Capable of operating lift gates, service truck, service tools, air compressors, hydraulic jacks, air guns, air gauges, mounting and balancing machines in the service shop or from the service truck, and computer and office equipment Ability and willingness to speak effectively to customers and employees Basic Math skills Understand instructions via writing, oral, and diagram form Basic Computer skills
Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record Job Duties:
Perform service, tire repairs, replacements, and general tire/wheel service Services will be performed at the shop, at customer sites, or on the road Conduct inside and outside tire/truck services to customers Mounting, dismounting, balancing, replacing, and repairing truck tires Raise vehicle with hydraulic jack, use air tools and heavy hand held tools Repair truck tires using inspection equipment, drills, and rollers Ability to recognize repairable tires and properly perform repair Communicate via writing on tags, work orders, invoices Utilize all safety equipment and communicate equipment needs or repairs Perform daily maintenance to vehicle, tools, and equipment. Clean service vehicle at least once/week Quote product and service prices to customer as needed Complete service work orders with complete information and give to manager Ensure that all products leave with proper paperwork Complete VMR and turn into office once/week Keep vehicle organized and stocked with necessary tools and supplies
