Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic automotive service team as a Tire and Suspension Technician, where your expertise will drive vehicle safety, performance, and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain tires, suspension systems, shocks & struts, and related components on a variety of vehicles. Your mechanical skills and attention to detail will ensure that every vehicle leaves the shop in optimal condition, providing a smooth and safe driving experience for our customers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your automotive repair skills within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Duties Perform tire service including mounting, balancing, rotation, and repair to ensure optimal vehicle handling and safety. Diagnose and repair suspension systems, shocks & struts to improve ride comfort and vehicle stability. Utilize schematics and automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues with steering, alignment, and suspension components. Conduct wheel alignments using specialized equipment to ensure proper tire wear and vehicle handling. Repair or replace brake components, including pads, rotors, calipers, and brake lines to maintain stopping power. Assist with general vehicle maintenance such as oil changes and powertrain inspections to support overall vehicle health. Use hand tools and power tools efficiently while adhering to safety protocols during repairs. Experience Prior dealership or automotive repair shop experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools is essential. Hands-on experience with tire service equipment, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, brake repair, and suspension work. Familiarity with ADAS calibration procedures and diesel engine repair is a plus. Mechanical knowledge of powertrain components including transmissions and engine systems required for comprehensive vehicle servicing. Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (if applicable), and auto estimating software is beneficial.
