Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Mobile Chassis Mechanic and Tire Tech, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, farm machinery, and automotive vehicles directly at job sites. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of machinery, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise will keep our fleet in top condition, supporting various industries such as construction, agriculture, and industrial services. We are committed to providing a paid position that values your mechanical skills and hands-on experience. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and industrial machinery using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct tire service tasks such as mounting, balancing, repair, and replacement for a variety of vehicles and equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to fabricate parts or repair damaged components. Maintain vehicle systems including transmissions, hydraulics, suspension, air brakes, HVAC systems, and diesel engines to ensure optimal performance. Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, wheel alignments, and electrical system troubleshooting. Use heavy lifting techniques safely when handling tires or heavy equipment parts; operate heavy machinery like excavators or forklifts when necessary for repairs. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately; document all repairs performed for compliance and record-keeping. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on automotive repair or heavy equipment maintenance in a dealership or industrial setting. Familiarity with fabrication processes and the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques. Hands-on experience working with heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery is highly preferred. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics systems and electrical troubleshooting methods. Ability to perform tire service tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Strong mechanical knowledge across multiple systems including hydraulics, transmissions, suspension components, HVAC systems, and diesel engines. Prior experience working with schematics for complex machinery repairs is advantageous.
