Job Description

Job Summary:
The
TIRE TECHNICIAN
is responsible for the service and maintenance of tires and wheels, including duties such as: diagnosing, changing, repairing, rotating, and changing tires while providing 'Rock Solid' customer service.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Install and maintain tires and wheels Repair, rotate, and inflate tires Attach and rebalance wheels Install/rebuild and/or relearn/calibrate TPMS Test and install batteries Wash tires and wheels Clean the shop and return tools to proper location Inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order Write service tickets Evaluate/communicate to team members work to be performed Provide excellent customer service Promote store sales Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of tire size/application Ability to understand and comply with tire repair and replacement standards Ability to assemble/disassemble machine components Ability to safely and efficiently work with related tools and lifts Excellent mechanical skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to organize, plan, prioritize and complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion Good interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to read service and repair manuals Ability to understand and follow instructions Ability to sell or influence sale of products
Education and Experience:
Experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent required Tire technician certification such as TIA or industry equivalent Brake, front end/suspension and alignment experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections Must be able to work safely in a non-climate controlled noisy area with many odors present Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds frequently

$15.74 - $25.00 per hour
