Tower Technician Level 2+

Job Description Established and growing wireless telecom company based in Califonrna is looking to add to our Phoenix Arizona market by adding a full-time experienced tower techs to its crews. Relocation costs to this area will be the sole responsibility of the job applicant. The tower position will install, decom, troubleshoot and repair cellular networks including coax, hybrid, waveguide, antennas, connectors, grounding, and supporting hardware. The position requires the ability to work days/nights/weekends depending on project demands. The ideal applicant will have experience with cellular carriers antenna and line mods, mount mods, upgrades, cabinet swaps, battery installs, and tower owner maintenance.

• Short-term travel within the state will occasionally be required.
• Applicants must:
• Have 1 - 5+ years of experience in wireless Outside Plant work
• Have worked on the major carriers' networks such as Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T.
• Have a clean driving record and have a current personal auto insurance policy
• Knowledge of grounding installation and specifications
• PPC and Andrew connector installation experience
• PIM and Sweep Line Testing experience
• Must be able to climb to heights averaging 90 feet and/or work in man lifts up to 135 feet. Current climbing and man-lift certification a plus
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends as required
• Provide basic hand tools (specialty tools and power tools will be provided by Aztecs)
• Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Complete work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Industry Standards. Transport and install of wireless industry equipment to include various cable types, antennas, radios, mounting hardware and other components. Utilize industry equipment such as safety equipment, man-lifts, bucket trucks, hand and power tools to complete installation work. Fabricate when needed and install hardware as required to complete installation Completion of projects within defined timeframes by Foreman Have a strong work ethic. Abide by Aztecs Telecom and Industry Safety Standards Be detail orientated and take pride in your work Must work well with others/be a team player Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Basic computer skills with the ability to check e-mails via phone/computer Aztecs partners with clients and venues that may require specific security clearance and badging.
