VIKING MAINTENANCE, LTD.Job Description - Tower Construction & Maintenance Viking Maintenance, Ltd. is seeking motivated, self-driven individuals who are adaptable, safety-focused, and capable of both following direction and troubleshooting in the field. We are currently hiring for all experience levels, including Entry-Level Technician, Tech II, Top Hand, and Field Supervisor roles. Our goal is to be a premier general contractor in the wireless industry. Position Summary This role requires individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving industry . As technology continues to advance, ongoing learning is essential. Success in this position depends heavily on attention to detail , particularly when interpreting drawings, prints, and technical instructions. Key Responsibilities Perform tower construction and maintenance tasks, including: Tower erection and decommissioning Line and antenna installation Microwave installation Troubleshooting and system maintenance Installation of mounting hardware Additional expectations: Demonstrate strong time management and communication skills Maintain a dependable work ethic Show commitment to career growth and development Travel as required (up to two weeks at a time) Maintain a valid driver's license Pass a pre-employment drug screening Follow direction while staying organized and detail-oriented Required Certifications & Training Competent Climber Certification OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Competent Rigger Certification Aerial Lift Certification CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens RF Awareness Training Experience with the following equipment is preferred: Anritsu Kaelus Fiber testing equipment Voltmeters and related tools Lighting systems (Flash, TWR, ITL, Dialight, etc.) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to climb, assess conditions, and execute tasks safely Strong problem-solving skills and field adaptability Lead by example while delivering high-quality work Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job specifications Clear and effective communication with team members, leadership, and clients Team-oriented mindset with the ability to follow direction Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to lift, pull, climb, rig, and test equipment while maintaining strict safety standards. Work at heights exceeding 100 feet is routine, and candidates must be comfortable performing tasks safely at elevation. Work Environment Approximately 95% of work is performed outdoors Exposure to varying weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain, snow) Work locations include towers, rooftops, water tanks, buildings, and other elevated structures Constant awareness of safety protocols and site conditions is required Typical workdays are 10 hours, with schedules varying based on project needs Compensation & Benefits Viking Maintenance offers competitive pay based on experience, skill, and performance, along with a comprehensive benefits package: 50% employer-paid Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Short-term and long-term disability options 401(k) with 4% company match Seven paid holidays annually Paid Time Off (PTO): 40 hours after 90 days Additional 40 hours after one-year review $35/day per diem (100% paid on travel days) Biannual performance bonus eligibility Annual tenure bonus paid each December Join a team that values hard work, safety, and growth.
