Full Job Description Job Title:

Telecommunications Maintenance Technician (Tower Climber) - T-Mobile Network Overview As a Tower Climber Maintenance Technician supporting the T-Mobile network, you'll perform hands-on maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of wireless sites, antennas, and microwave backhaul systems. You'll work directly on towers, rooftops, and shelters to ensure reliable network performance and compliance with T-Mobile standards. This is a local job. Employee will be home daily. Some weekend work may be required. Primary Responsibilities Tower & Field Work Climb and perform maintenance on T-Mobile macro, small cell, and microwave towers (up to 300 ft+). 2 tower climbs per day-minimum Inspect, repair, and replace antennas, coax, waveguides, and jumpers. Perform grounding, weatherproofing, labeling, and torque verification per T-Mobile specs. Conduct line-sweeps, PIM testing, and visual inspections using Anritsu or similar equipment. Safely rig and hoist materials and antennas to tower tops following all OSHA and NATE safety procedures. Microwave & Backhaul Align and fine-tune microwave dishes (Ceragon IP-20/IP-50, Nokia RIC-D1, Cambium, etc.) for optimal signal levels. Verify LOS (line-of-sight) paths and troubleshoot signal degradation or fading issues. Site Maintenance Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on tower and ground equipment, including power systems, grounding, and alarms. Replace or repair DC power cables, breakers, rectifiers, and backup batteries. Test and verify fiber, coax, and Ethernet connectivity between radios and baseband units. Support integration or swap-outs of Nokia or Ericsson RAN components as directed.

Qualifications Required:

1-3 years of tower climbing and L&A experience in wireless telecom. Demonstrated proficiency with RF, microwave, and backhaul systems (Ceragon, Nokia, Ericsson, etc.). Understanding of LTE/5G antenna systems, RETs, fiber, and DC power. Comfortable working at heights, in all weather conditions, and with power tools.

Preferred:

Experience supporting T-Mobile builds or maintenance contracts. Physical & Work Environment Regular tower climbing up to 300 ft + and rooftop work. Outdoor environment—heat, cold, rain, and wind. Must be able to lift 75+ lbs, bend, kneel, and work extended hours when required. Travel within assigned regional markets with occasional overnight stays. ve service team.
