Tower Technician Tophand

Built is seeking an experienced and dependable Tower Technician (Top Hand) to join our growing telecommunications team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on tower experience, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the Research Triangle Park (RTP) area or be willing to relocate prior to employment. Responsibilities Climb and work on communication towers at varying heights Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair telecommunications equipment and tower systems Perform antenna and line installations, primarily involving microwave systems, Cambium equipment, and LMR Conduct inspections and routine maintenance on tower structures and related equipment Assist with tower modifications and upgrades Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety standards Complete job documentation, reports, and site records accurately Travel to job sites as required Qualifications Previous tower climbing and telecommunications experience required Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions Knowledge of tower safety procedures and fall protection practices Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills Good communication and problem-solving abilities Must live near or be willing to relocate to the Research Triangle Park area Benefits After successful completion of the probationary period, employees are eligible for: Paid medical insurance

Pay:

$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
