In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of telecommunications towers, antennas, and related equipment to support safe and reliable network operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in challenging environments while advancing your technical skills in a fast-paced industry. Responsibilities Install, modify, and remove antennas, radios, cabling, grounding systems, and related equipment on towers and rooftop sites. Climb towers and work at elevated heights using approved fall protection equipment and rescue procedures. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on tower structures, mounts, guy wires, antennas, and associated components. Troubleshoot and repair RF equipment, grounding systems, backup power systems, and related infrastructure issues. Terminate, test, and label coaxial, fiber-optic, and copper cabling using appropriate testing equipment and tools. Configure and commission radios, controllers, and remote units in accordance with project and manufacturer specifications. Support tower upgrades, site builds, rigging activities, and equipment installations while coordinating with ground crews and subcontractors as needed. Follow all site access requirements, permitting procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and safety regulations. Complete work orders, inspection reports, closeout documentation, and daily reporting accurately and timely. Communicate project status, safety concerns, delays, and escalation items to supervisors and project management. Maintain company tools, equipment, and inventory assigned to the crew. Participate in required safety meetings, training programs, and certification renewals. Requirements Proven experience in telecommunication field service or tower installation is preferred. Strong climbing skills with the ability to work at heights safely; certification in climbing safety is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or trade certification preferred. Basic understanding of RF systems, grounding, electrical systems, and telecom installation practices preferred. Ability and willingness to travel and work overtime, nights, or weekends as project demands require. OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR, and tower climbing/rescue certifications preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety compliance at all times. Valid driver's license with clean driving record; certification in bucket operation is desirable.
