Overview Contribute to the safe and accurate installation of conveyor and/or sortation systems on project sites. The role includes hands-on tool work, layout and installation support, and professional site communication while adhering to all safety standards. Responsibilities Provide proof of OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 in construction; maintain valid certifications as applicable. Use required hand tools and PPE throughout the project work; candidates with no tools may be sent home. Perform hands-on conveyor installation tasks using tools and prints to install accurately. Support conveyor installation activities including layout, rigging, assembly of conveyor beds, and belt installation (depending on skill set and experience). Assist with mechanical adjustments to conveyors delivered to site with defects or components installed incorrectly at site. Ability to teach local new hires as needed. Lift up to 30+ lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights up to 40 ft. Maintain professional and courteous interactions on site and communicate relevant information clearly and in a timely manner. Work constructively with the entire site installation team to develop and enhance work processes to improve safety and quality. Adhere to all safety standards and ensure a safe work area; report unsafe site conditions to the site lead. Participate in safety training as requested, including weekly safety meetings. Demonstrate responsible behavior by notifying the site lead of issues impacting the completion of requested activities. Perform housekeeping and general clean up duties. Operate powered lift equipment, including scissor lift or forklift, in a competent and certified manner. Be able to work 58+ hour work weeks and maintain reliable transportation. Qualifications 2+ years of experience with conveyor and/or sortation installations. Must have OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 in construction; provide proof of certification. Forklift experience required. Mechanically inclined. Ability to stand or walk on concrete or steel grating for an entire shift. Detail oriented and able to accept guidance for daily activities from site leads. Good communication skills with professional and courteous site interactions. Physically able to traverse project construction sites, including stairs and ladders. Able to carry materials (35#) and use hand tools to loosen and tighten conveyor hardware. Understand and enforce safe practices for proper use of tools commonly used, such as power tools, cranes, hoists and slings, forklifts, and scissor lifts. Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
