Tower Technician - Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP)

ASAP Overview:
Advanced Internet is seeking a motivated and adaptable Tower Technician to join our team at a local growing Internet Service Provider. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, tackling hands-on challenges, and learning on the job. You'll be climbing towers, operating a bucket truck, installing and maintaining wireless equipment, and helping ensure reliable broadband for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot wireless radios, antennas, and cabling on towers and structures Perform site surveys and assist with tower construction and maintenance Install and route network cabling, both outdoor and indoor Safely climb and work on towers up to 200ft. Assist with network diagnostics and field support Respond to service calls, including participation in on-call rotation Work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Comfort with heights and the physical demands of tower climbing Experience with low-voltage or structured cabling is a strong plus Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, routers, etc.) is a plus Construction, electrical, or rigging experience is beneficial Experience with power tools is required Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to travel to remote sites as needed Must be flexible, dynamic, and willing to learn—on-the-job training provided Availability for on-call shifts and after-hours response
