Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30
PM Hours:
40 hours per week

Midwestern Construction Inc. is a fast-growing landscape and roadway maintenance contractor, specializing in projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). We are a small to mid-sized company that values our team members and strives to create a supportive, family-like environment.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Worker to join our team in Brooksville, FL. The successful candidate will have experience in planning, monitoring, and executing roadway and highway maintenance activities, with a working knowledge of FDOT Standard Plans, the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), and the operation, repair, and maintenance of equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform asphalt repairs and patching. Repair nonpaved shoulders, front slopes, and roadsides. Sod installation and maintenance. Clean and maintain drainage systems. Concrete repair and sidewalk maintenance. Mowing, edging, and sweeping. Weed control and tree trimming. Install and repair delineators and fences. Perform roadside litter removal and sweeping. Plan and monitor field activities to ensure the efficient execution of highway and maintenance activities. Conduct other routine maintenance tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Working knowledge of typical roadway maintenance activities as outlined in the FDOT scope of work. A valid and current Class "E" Driver's License. Experience operating small machinery, hand tools, and equipment. Demonstrated experience in planning and monitoring work activities in the field, providing highway and maintenance activities. Working knowledge of FDOT Standard Plans and MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices). Knowledge of equipment operation, repair, and maintenance. Why Join Midwestern Construction?
