Job Description

Job Summary Join our team as a Guardrail and Road Work Technician (Nights), where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, durability, and efficiency of roadway infrastructure. This energetic position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing guardrails and various road features during nighttime hours to minimize traffic disruptions. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation and construction will help create safer roads for communities while providing a dynamic and rewarding work environment. Duties Conduct utility locating to ensure safe excavation and construction activities around underground utilities. Assist with site preparation by performing tasks like grading, excavation, and material handling using dump trucks and other machinery. Perform construction tasks including paving, road surface repairs, and installing safety barriers according to project specifications. Maintain safety standards by inspecting work zones, setting up signage, and adhering to all safety protocols during night shifts. Collaborate with team members to complete project documentation, reports, and logs accurately. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and operated efficiently throughout each shift. Qualifications Must be Bilingual Able to work nights Familiarity with paving processes and general construction practices on roadways. Ability to work safely during night shifts in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions. Strong understanding of construction site protocols with an emphasis on safety compliance. Experience with Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is highly desirable. Construction site experience with a focus on guardrail installation or roadway maintenance preferred. Pay:
$23.39 - $28.17 per hour
