Responsibilities Set up and maintain clear traffic control signs, cones, barriers, and flagging stations to guide vehicles and pedestrians safely around construction zones Direct traffic flow using standardized hand signals or flagging devices, ensuring compliance with safety regulations Communicate effectively with construction crews, drivers, pedestrians, and other site personnel to coordinate movements and prevent hazards Monitor work zones continuously for potential safety issues or obstructions, promptly addressing concerns or escalating as needed Assist with the safe movement of heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, and front loader trucks within the site Skills Strong understanding of traffic control procedures and safety standards in construction environments Knowledge of construction site operations and safety protocols Ability to clearly communicate instructions using hand signals or flagging devices Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Attention to detail to ensure all safety measures are properly implemented and maintained throughout shifts Must be certified
