Job Description

Key Responsibilities Direct Traffic:
Use hand signals, flags, and signs to manage the flow of vehicles and pedestrians around construction zones, ensuring safety for all parties involved.
Set Up Traffic Control Devices:
Position cones, barricades, and warning signs to create a safe work environment and inform drivers of detours or road work ahead.
Communicate Effectively:
Relay important information to motorists and construction crews regarding traffic patterns, potential hazards, and construction progress.
Monitor Traffic Conditions:
Observe and report any traffic issues or violations to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Assist Construction Crew:
Help with the removal of debris and maintain a clean work area, ensuring that the site remains safe for workers.
Required Skills and Qualifications High School Diploma or GED:
A basic educational requirement for most flagger positions.
Certification:
Certification through recognized organizations, such as the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA), is often required.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods and work in various weather conditions.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal communication skills to effectively direct traffic and coordinate with construction teams. Attention to
