Responsibilities Safely direct traffic around construction zones using clear hand signals, signs, and flagging devices to prevent accidents and ensure smooth vehicle flow Communicate effectively with construction crews, drivers, pedestrians, and site supervisors to coordinate movements and maintain safety protocols Set up appropriate signage, barriers, and warning devices to alert motorists and pedestrians of ongoing work zones Monitor the work area continuously to identify potential hazards or unsafe behaviors, taking immediate corrective actions when necessary Assist with general site safety by ensuring all personnel adhere to safety guidelines and wear proper protective equipment Report any incidents or unsafe conditions promptly to site management for swift resolution Requirements Prior experience in construction site safety or traffic control is highly preferred Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly signal directions using standardized hand signals or flagging techniques Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform outdoor work in various weather conditions Valid certification as a Traffic Control Flagger or willingness to obtain certification upon hire

Pay:

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
