Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Traffic Control Flagger and play a vital role in ensuring safety and smooth operations on busy construction sites. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for directing traffic, safeguarding workers, and maintaining a secure environment for all personnel and equipment. Your proactive approach will help keep projects on schedule while prioritizing safety at every step. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of impactful infrastructure development and to develop skills in heavy equipment operation and construction site management. Duties Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic around construction zones using clear hand signals, signs, and flags to ensure safety for workers and the public Set up and maintain proper signage, barriers, cones, and safety equipment in compliance with OSHA standards Communicate effectively with construction crews, drivers, and pedestrians to coordinate safe movement through work zones Monitor site conditions continuously to identify potential hazards or unsafe behaviors and report them promptly Assist with basic equipment operation such as loaders, backhoes, graders, or dump trucks when qualified, supporting overall site productivity Support construction activities by helping with tasks like utility locating or assisting with paving operations as needed Maintain accurate logs of traffic flow, incidents, and safety checks to ensure compliance with safety protocols Experience Prior experience working on construction sites or in traffic control roles is highly preferred Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, front loader trucks, dump trucks, or Caterpillar machinery is a plus Knowledge of construction processes such as paving, utility locating, or general site management enhances your effectiveness in this role Strong understanding of safety regulations related to construction zones and traffic control practices Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high energy levels and focus This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to contribute to large-scale projects while gaining valuable experience in heavy equipment operation and construction safety. $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
