$20.51•$29.22 Job Description Performs semi-skilled jobs in a variety of trades, including but not limited to maintaining, repairing, and providing custodial services as assigned for the building, academic programs, and other college departments to ensure a clean, orderly, secure and welcoming environment for those in the building, as well as, ensure proper functioning of the campus.Salary Range:
$20.51•$29.22 Hourly Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of general methods and practices of a variety of trade areas (e.g. mechanics, masonry, welding, electrical, plumbing and carpentry) sufficient to assist licensed trades workers and to repair machinery, equipment, and facilities in a timely and safe manner. Knowledge of general methods and practices of custodial duties, cleaning chemicals, equipment, tools, and supplies. Ability to safely use hand and power hand tools. Ability to safely operate and maintain trucks, tractors, and other ground and road maintenance equipment. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying and bending. Communication skills needed to report status of building security and repairs to supervisor. Preferred Qualification A Boiler's License Ability to operate forklift. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety measures related to trades work sufficient to safely and efficiently perform the job duties. Adequate skills to operate the facility energy management system and preventative maintenance program. Knowledge of emergency procedures such as fire, tornadoes, bomb threats, etc. Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite Other Requirements Hennepin Technical College is currently unable to sponsor work visas or green card applications due to regulatory complexity, budget constraints, and alignment with our current hiring strategy.
