Interviews will take place on Friday, July 17th at the Carlton County Transportation Building Small Conference Room. Carlton County Transportation 1630 Co Rd 61, Carlton, MN 55718 BASIC
FUNCTIONS
Under the direction of the Maintenance, Engineering or Traffic Services department, provide roadway maintenance or Transportation Department support duties as required, and other related job duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform bituminous road surface maintenance. Perform roadside vegetation maintenance. Perform drainage maintenance. Perform traffic control for maintenance activities. Serve as ticket taker for road construction projects. Ex. Bituminous paving or aggregate shouldering. Performs other related job duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school graduate or high school senior with expectations of graduating by June 2024 or equivalent.
Certificates/Licenses Required:
Valid driver's license.
Note:
Must successfully pass medical, physical and drug screening.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Required at
Entry:
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Ability to follow instructions. Ability to operate a computer and iPad. Ability to use a calculator and perform basic math. Ability to drive a pickup truck. Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.
