Overview Join our dynamic Public Works team as a Public Works Worker and play a vital role in maintaining and improving community infrastructure. This energetic position involves operating heavy equipment, supporting construction projects, and ensuring the safety and functionality of public facilities. Responsibilities Support construction projects by assisting with site preparation, material movement, and infrastructure repairs. Conduct utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation or construction activities begin. Maintain safety standards by inspecting equipment and work sites regularly to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Assist with paving operations and other road maintenance activities to improve transportation infrastructure. Collaborate with team members to complete daily work assignments efficiently and accurately. Support the overall upkeep of public facilities by performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed. Skills Strong knowledge of construction processes, site safety procedures, and utility locating techniques. Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery or similar heavy equipment brands. Ability to perform paving work and support various construction projects effectively. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety regulations and best practices. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. Physical stamina to perform demanding manual labor in various weather conditions.
