Job Description

Overview FNF Construction, Inc. is hiring a Traffic Control Laborer who would be responsible for safely directing the flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic in and around heavy highway construction sites and work areas. This role involves setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Traffic Control Laborers communicate effectively with team members and the public to minimize disruptions and prevent accidents, maintaining a safe environment for both workers and road users. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work outdoors in various conditions, and a commitment to following established safety protocols. This is a safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities Safely direct traffic using hand signals, signs, and stop/slow paddles Set up, position, and remove traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, and warning signs Monitor traffic conditions and adjust control methods to maintain safe and efficient flow Communicate clearly with crew members, supervisors, and the public to coordinate traffic movement Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and traffic control plans Maintain a safe work zone by identifying and addressing potential hazards Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including high‑visibility gear Assist with general labor tasks related to roadwork or construction when needed Report incidents, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues promptly to supervisors Remain alert and focused in a fast-paced, high-risk environment near moving traffic Qualifications Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (often required) Certification in traffic control/flagging (e.g., OSHA or state-approved flagger certification) Ability to understand and follow traffic control plans and safety procedures Strong communication skills to interact with drivers, coworkers, and supervisors Basic knowledge of road construction safety practices and traffic laws Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift equipment, and work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to remain alert, attentive, and focused in a high-risk environment Dependability and punctuality Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime Service Line (UKG) : Name FNF-FNF Phoenix
