Job Description

Part-Time Traffic Controller Under supervision, writes parking tickets and calls for the towing of vehicles from public throughways and lands. Performs impound work. Directs vehicular traffic and performs crowd and traffic control for special events (races, parades, ball games, etc.) and performs related duties as required. (Employees are prohibited from performing criminal investigations or exercising their authority on privately-owned premises.)High School Diploma or GED required. Valid State of Ohio Driver's License required. For those hired as seasonal or part-time Police Traffic Controllers, (i) High School Diploma or GED required and (ii) Valid State of Ohio Driver's License OR Valid State Identification card required. Must be able to stand and walk in all types of weather for long periods of time. Must be able to obtain and maintain LEADS and NCIC certifications.
