Our company has prevailing wage flagging positions available throughout Beaverton, Portland, Gresham, Clackamas, Tigard, Oregon City, Hillsboro, McMinnville, Woodburn, and Salem areas. Wage starts at $34.00/hr to $41.10/hr plus fringe. Hours vary depending on project needs, and could average 30+ hours per week.Requirements:
- At least one (1) year or more verifiable flagging experience.
- ODOT Flagger Certification Card
- Valid Driver's License.
- Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
Job Duties:
- Receive and communicate specific instructions clearly, firmly, and courteously.
- Move and maneuver quickly in order to avoid danger from errant vehicles.
- Understand and apply safe traffic control practices.
- Control signaling devices in order to provide clear and positive guidance to drivers approaching a work zone in frequently changing situations.
- Recognize dangerous traffic situations and warn workers in sufficient time to avoid injury.
- Control traffic flows in construction areas using paddles and two-way radios.
- Be safety conscious and have the ability to follow safety procedures.
- Follow directions.
- Work in all weather conditions
- rain, snow, hot, cold, windy, etc.
- Stand for the entire shift, anywhere from 2 to 12 hours.
- Work and stand on any surface: bend or twist and use arms and hands for the entire shift: reach above head: and lift and carry 20 lbs.
- Operate two-way radios and hand-held CB radio.
- Other duties as assigned.
Employer Notes:
- Have reliable transportation to get to and from various job sites.
- Willing to travel is a plus.
- Employer will conduct pre-employment and random drug tests.
- Hours will vary depending on employers' needs.
