Job Summary:

Certified Personnel Service Agency has prevailing wage flagging positions available throughout Beaverton, Portland, Gresham, Clackamas, Tigard, Oregon City, Hillsboro, McMinnville, Woodburn, and Salem areas. Wage starts at $34.00 to $41.10. Hours vary depending on project needs, could average 30+ hours per week.

Requirements:

• At least one (1) year or more verifiable flagging experience
• ODOT Flagger Certification card (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Montana)
• Eighteen (18) years of age or older

Job Duties:

• Receive and communicate specific instructions clearly, firmly, and courteously
• Move and maneuver quickly in order to avoid danger from errant vehicles
• Understand and apply safe traffic control practices
• Control signaling devices in order to provide clear and positive guidance to drivers approaching a work zone in frequently changing situations
• Recognize dangerous traffic situations and warn workers in sufficient time to avoid injury
• Control traffic flows in construction areas using paddles and two-way radios
• Be safety conscious and have the ability to follow safety procedures
• Follow directions
• Work in all weather conditions
• rain, snow, hot, cold, windy, etc.
• Stand for the entire shift, anywhere from 2 to 12 hours
• Work and stand on any surface: bend or twist and use arms and hands for the entire shift: reach above head: and lift and carry 20 lbs
• Operate two-way radios and hand-held CB radio
• Other duties as assigned

• Have reliable transportation to get to and from various job sites
• Willing to travel is a plus
• Employer will conduct pre-employment and random drug tests
