Construction Services Job Overview Brix Paving Northwest Inc is seeking a dependable Flagger / Traffic Control Professional to support public and private construction projects throughout the Portland metro area. This role is essential to maintaining safe traffic flow and protecting crews, pedestrians, and the public on active job sites. The ideal candidate is alert, safety-focused, and able to work collaboratively in dynamic environments. Key Responsibilities Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely through construction zones using approved flagging procedures. Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices, including cones, signs, and barricades. Communicate clearly with equipment operators, crew members, and the public. Remain alert and responsive to changing site conditions at all times. Follow all OSHA, DOT, MUTCD, and company safety standards. Assist with general job site duties as needed. Work flexible shifts including days, nights, weekends, and overtime based on project schedules. Qualifications Valid Flagger Certification required (or ability to obtain prior to start). Previous flagging or traffic control experience preferred. Valid Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) certification in Oregon and/or Washington - highly preferred! Valid driver's license required. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand for extended periods and remain attentive. Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Commitment to safety and professionalism. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
