Flagger Certification Full Job Description Position Overview:

Western Utility Contractors is looking to bring on an experienced flagger to support our growing utility construction operations. This role is critical in maintaining safe and efficient traffic control around active job sites. We are looking for someone dependable, alert, and comfortable working in fast-paced outdoor environments.

Responsibilities:

Control traffic flow using stop/slow paddles and hand signals Set up and maintain traffic control zones per job requirements Communicate clearly with crew members and the public Ensure safety of workers, pedestrians, and motorists at all times Follow all company safety policies and state regulations Remain attentive and proactive in high-risk environments

Requirements:

Valid Flagger Certification (Oregon required) Prior experience in traffic control or utility/construction environment Strong awareness and ability to stay focused for extended periods Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Must be punctual and ready to work early mornings Preferred (Not Required): Experience working around utility crews (aerial or underground) Knowledge of basic traffic control setups Ability to assist crew when traffic is slow
