Job Description

The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Repairman 2 to join our Harrisburg Military Post team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and repairing the facility's infrastructure, including electrical, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, HVAC, and painting work, ensuring the post operates safely and efficiently. In this position, you will carry out maintenance and repair tasks related to the construction, alteration, repair, and restoration of buildings, including floors, roofs, stairways, windows, and doors. Duties involve preparing and painting buildings; installing and repairing sinks, faucets, water heaters, and drains; as well as installing and replacing electrical circuits, panels, outlets, and lighting fixtures. Additional tasks include snow removal and performing concrete or masonry repairs. All work will be conducted following DMVA general safety guidelines and procedures. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your work schedule may change based on operational needs.Travel:

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration): or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.Special Requirement:
This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.Additional Requirement:
