Job Description

THE POSITION
Do you enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and tackling a wide range of maintenance and repair challenges? Join Warren State Hospital as a Maintenance Repairman 2 and help keep our facilities in top shape. This role offers the chance to work with many tools and systems across the campus. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position plays a key role in supporting the maintenance and repair needs of Warren State Hospital. You will work across many trades to keep the facility safe, functional, and well maintained. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:
Carpentry Work:
Construct or repair walls, ceilings, cabinets, floors, and other wood structures across the facility
Masonry Tasks:
Complete concrete work, brick and block laying, footer work, and other masonry projects
Electrical Repairs:
Replace switches, wiring, receptacles, and circuits while supporting general electrical needs
Plumbing Duties:
Clear drains, repair or replace fixtures, and maintain water and heating systems
Metal Fabrication:
Operate machinery to cut, shape, or repair metal components for buildings and equipment
HVAC Maintenance:
Work with steam, hot water, gas-fired appliances, cooling systems, and refrigeration units Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirement:
This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
