Join the Department of Human Services (DHS) as a Maintenance Repairman 2 and support the daily operations of Wernersville State Hospital. This position gives you the chance to use many different trade skills while improving the facility for some of Pennsylvania's most vulnerable residents. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position helps maintain hospital buildings, equipment, and public areas by completing skilled repair, construction, and maintenance tasks. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties: General Repairs:
Perform building maintenance, preventative work, and needed repairs across hospital property Skilled Trades:
Install and maintain plumbing, electrical components, drywall, framing, and related materials Construction Tasks:
Measure, cut, build, and install items such as trim, doors, windows, and masonry work Equipment Use:
Operate and maintain tools and equipment needed for carpentry, masonry, and repair work Routine Maintenance:
Complete scheduled checks, filter changes, inspections, and preventative tasks Seasonal Work:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will be subject to emergency call-in. Overtime and travel as needed Free parking Telework:

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
