Provided Job Overview We are seeking a Construction Safety Spotter to support a large-scale construction project in Hubbard, TX. This role is responsible for monitoring heavy equipment operations, maintaining safe work zones, and helping prevent incidents involving personnel, vehicles, and equipment on active construction sites. The ideal candidate will have experience working around excavation, underground utilities, heavy equipment, or heavy civil construction projects and possess a strong understanding of construction safety practices. Responsibilities Monitor heavy equipment operations and active work areas Guide equipment operators using hand signals and clear communication Maintain safe distances between workers and moving equipment Assist in identifying and preventing potential job site hazards Ensure safe work practices around excavations, trenches, and utility installations Support Foremen, Superintendents, and construction crews with site safety efforts Participate in daily safety meetings and toolbox talks Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses immediately Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times Requirements OSHA 30 Certification Required Minimum 1 year of experience in construction, excavation, underground utilities, heavy civil construction, utility locating, safety, or related field operations Experience working around heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and dump trucks preferred Understanding of excavation and trench safety practices Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong communication and situational awareness skills Reliable transportation and personal vehicle required Ability to work overtime as project demands require Preferred Experience Utility Locator Construction Laborer Utility Laborer Groundman Safety Technician Heavy Equipment Operator Excavation Crew Member Underground Utility Construction Sewer, Water, or Storm Drain Projects Benefits Paid Overtime Gas Reimbursement Long-Term Project Opportunity Potential Contract Extension Opportunity to Work on a Major Infrastructure Project If you have OSHA 30 certification and experience working safely around construction equipment and active job sites, we encourage you to apply today.
