Position Overview The Traffic Control Assistant supports safe and efficient traffic flow around construction zones, public events, or road maintenance sites. This role involves setting up and removing traffic control devices, directing vehicles and pedestrians, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate is alert, dependable, and able to work in various weather conditions while maintaining a strong focus on public and crew safety. Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain safe work zones using the proper equipment Collaborate with team members to ensure the safety of all Manage traffic flow effectively Deliver exceptional service and protection to our clients Benefit from continuous training and support to advance from an entry-level position to long-term career opportunities Qualifications Must be able to pass background check and drug screen Must have "0 or Plus" DMV Driving Points along with a valid Virginia Driver's License Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must have truck driver experience with large trucks (18′ to 24′)
