Job description:
We are seeking dependable and safety-focused Traffic Control Flaggers to assist with managing traffic flow around active construction and utility work zones. This position plays a critical role in maintaining safe job sites and ensuring traffic moves efficiently through work areas.
Responsibilities:
Help set up, manage, and remove temporary traffic control signage, cones, and barriers at the worksite. Perform flagging operations to safely direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic Follow approved traffic control plans and job-site safety procedures Use two-way radios to communicate traffic flow information and coordinate with the team. Assess and adapt to changing traffic volumes and weather conditions to maintain a safe and efficient environment. Report any potential safety hazards or incidents to the designated site supervisor for immediate resolution. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on all traffic control sights and equipment to ensure they are clean and functioning correctly.
Qualifications:
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work. A valid Virginia flagger certification Previous Virginia traffic control or flagging experience preferred The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to give and follow instructions. Physical fitness to handle the demands of the job, including lifting equipment up to 50 pounds and standing for long durations. Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends as required. Willingness to work out of town as required.

$16.00 - $22.00 per hour
