Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Traffic Control Services Flagger to join our construction and roadway safety team. In this role, you will be responsible for directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic around construction zones, ensuring safety and smooth flow of traffic.
Must have:
TCS Certification Responsibilities Set up traffic control devices such as signs, cones, and barriers according to safety standards and project specifications. Direct traffic using hand signals, flags, or stop/slow paddles to ensure safe passage for vehicles and pedestrians. Monitor work zones continuously to identify potential hazards or unsafe conditions. Communicate effectively with construction crews, drivers, and pedestrians to provide clear instructions. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure environment for workers and the public. Assist with the installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary traffic control equipment. Report any incidents or unsafe conditions promptly to supervisors for immediate action. Skills Prior experience in traffic control or construction site safety is preferred. Ability to operate basic heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, front loader trucks, dump trucks, graders, and other heavy machinery. Knowledge of utility locating techniques and construction site operations. Familiarity with equipment brands such as Caterpillar is advantageous. Strong understanding of construction processes including paving and general site management. Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow directions precisely. Physical stamina and alertness necessary for outdoor work in various weather conditions. This role is essential in ensuring the safety of workers and the public during construction activities.
