Construction Flagger / Laborer

Motley-Motley, Inc. - Pullman, WA Motley-Motley, Inc. is currently seeking a dependable and safety-oriented Construction Flagger / Laborer to join our team. This position plays an important role in maintaining safe traffic flow through active construction and paving projects throughout the region while also assisting crews in the field as needed. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, dependable, and willing to assist with general labor or equipment operation duties when flagging is not required. Responsibilities Control traffic through construction zones using stop/slow paddles and hand signals Maintain safe work zones for crews, motorists, and pedestrians Recognize dangerous traffic situations and warn workers in sufficient time to avoid injury Understand and apply safe traffic control practices, including during stressful or emergency situations Set up and remove traffic control devices as needed Communicate effectively with coworkers and the public Assist crews with general labor tasks and equipment operation when flagging is not active Follow all company safety policies and WSDOT/traffic control regulations Qualifications Must possess a valid and current flagger certification in Washington, Idaho, or Montana Previous flagging or construction experience preferred Ability to stand for extended periods of time in varying weather conditions Strong attention to safety and awareness of surroundings Reliable transportation and strong attendance Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor construction environment Benefits Competitive pay Overtime opportunities Health benefits Retirement plan Opportunity for advancement within the company About Motley-Motley, Inc.
