Part Time Flagger/Traffic Control

Pitlik & Wick, Inc. is seeking Seasonal Part-Time Traffic Control Flaggers to help keep motorists and construction crews safe throughout the road construction season. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, are safety-conscious, and can communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. This is a seasonal part-time position averaging 1-3 days per week , with shifts typically lasting 10-12 hours per day . Workdays and hours will vary based on project schedules and weather conditions. Description:

Traffic Control Flagger uses signs and hand signals to direct traffic safely through construction work zones. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Safely direct traffic through road construction work zones using signs, paddles, and hand signals Communicate with other flaggers and crew members using two-way radios Set up, move, and maintain traffic control signs, cones, and barricades Monitor traffic flow and work zone conditions Follow all company safety policies and traffic control procedures Help ensure the safety of coworkers, motorists, and the public Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Valid driver's license High school diploma or GED preferred Strong communication and observation skills Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to stand for extended periods of time Dependable and safety-focused Ability to follow instructions and established procedures Smartphone or tablet capable of using the company timekeeping system
