Overview:
A Baghouse Repairman is responsible for repairing and maintaining all dust collectors including replacing filters in baghouses. Basic qualifications and/or traits that the Baghouse Repairman must possess include: Have a working knowledge of the plant, MCC operations and process flow. Preferred Have a reliable attendance and safety record. Required Have a strong mechanical aptitude. Required Knowledge and understanding of air flows and air displacement. Preferred Knowledge and understanding of dust collector operation of all types, i.e. pulse, jet, plenum, etc. Required Ability to change solenoid valves. Required Be able to work without constant supervision. Required Be able to give and take direction. Required Be Physically fit.
Required Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Baghouse Repairman include but are not limited to: Safety inspections shall be performed a minimum of once per shift as required by federal mining regulations. Additional inspections may be required as conditions warrant. The Baghouse Repairman is responsible for performing mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs to all baghouse and dust collectors throughout MCC Operations. The Baghouse Repairman is responsible for performing housekeeping duties in their work area to remove slip/trip/fall hazards. Work activities must be performed while adhering to all applicable federal/state regulations and company policies at all times. The Baghouse Repairman must maintain a complete set of tools within ninety (90) days of being assigned to the job classification. A listing of the required tools will be provided upon hire. The Baghouse Repairman is required to operate mobile equipment on a regular basis. Proper task training and safe operation guidelines will be adhered to at all times. Employees will not operate any piece of mobile equipment without being properly trained as required by MSHA regulations.
Physical Requirements :
The Baghouse Repairman position is safety sensitive. The physical requirements include, but are not limited to: Working 8-12 hours shifts. Working in areas of heat, cold, muddy, icy, or dusty conditions for extended periods of time. Subject to twisting, bending, stooping, lifting, and climbing. Lifting 65+ lbs regularly. Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Education & Experience Requirements:
The Automation/Process Engineer will have a formal education along with previous technical experience. 2 years working in an industrial environment (preferable cement) preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
