Job Description

Seeking a skilled and experienced Utility Locator / Ground Penetrating Radar Technician to join our team. The technician will play a crucial role in conducting on-site surveys, utilizing ground penetrating radar equipment and other tools to locate and map underground utilities and structures accurately. This position requires a strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to safety protocols. Will train the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
Conduct utility locating surveys using ground penetrating radar equipment and other specialized tools. Interpret and analyze GPR data to accurately identify underground utilities, pipelines, cables, and other structures. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure accurate mapping of subsurface utilities and obstacles. Operate and maintain equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines. Document findings and generate comprehensive reports detailing survey results and recommendations. Adhere to project timelines and deliverables, ensuring timely completion of surveys and reports. Follow established safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment. Be a good steward of company vehicle and equipment
Qualifications:
Experience in utility locating, ground penetrating radar, or related field. Proficiency in operating ground penetrating radar equipment and interpreting GPR data. Strong understanding of utility infrastructure and construction practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

$22.00 - $27.50 per hour
